Rick Dubeau is back in assignment court on Wednesday because he is facing charges of corruption of a municipal office and breach of trust by a public officer. The Timmins Police Service says this is for allegedly offering to act in a preferential manner to Goldcorp in his role as a city councillor in exchange for the company buying his home at a premium. The investigation into this case started September 7th last year, and Dubeau was arrested and charged on September 14th. The lawyers have stated in previous court sittings that there are some ongoing discussions that keep pushing back assignment date. The MyTimminsNow.Com Newsroom will have updates once the assignment court is over.
