MNRF Called to Another Abandoned Moose Near Kamiskotia

Another abandoned moose was found near Kamiskotia Lake.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says on Sunday officers got a call about an abandoned moose on Winter Lake Roads. Conservation Officers say a bull moose had been shot and left there.

This is the second abandoned moose case in the area this month. The MNRF says on October 13th, two moose were shot in the area. One moose, which officers believe was a calf, was taken and the second was a cow that was abandoned about 65 metres off the Kamiskotia Road.

The MNRF says officers are looking for information on the people responsible for these crimes. If you have any information, you are asked to call the MNRF tip line at 1-877-847-7667 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
