First Nation communities in Northern Ontario will have an easier time getting around this winter. Construction has begun for the province’s Winter Roads Program. The government is building over 3-thousand kilometers of temporary roads over rivers, and ice, that will serve 31 First Nations. Since 2003, the Ontario government has invested more than $49 million through their Winter Road Program.
