Kids can now play at TAWC

A new gaming system for kids has been installed at the Timmins and Area women in crisis centre. The kid friendly game, Touch 2 Play, is so moms can get counselling while the kids are occupied. Education Coordinator, Becky Mason, says it gives the opportunity for women to come for counselling, bring her kids, and know they’re safe.

Mason says kids shouldn’t be in on counselling session because sensitive topics are discussed. She says now they can play and kill time, all just around the corner from where Mom is.

Touch2Play is valued at $4000. The system was donated by mining company Imerys Talc in Timmins.
