News Block sentencing has been pushed back SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Tuesday, Dec. 2nd, 2014 Aleisha Block, the 27 year old from Kirkland Lake who pled guilty to manslaughter, is still waiting on sentencing. She was charged after the 2012 stabbing of Christopher Deighton, who was living with Block in Timmins. Sentencing was supposed to have started yesterday, but the defence was given an adjournment. The new dates are set for January. Block was first charged with second degree murder, but her plea to the lesser charge of manslaughter was accepted.
