After One Year of Searching, Police are Looking for New Leads on a Missing Man

New leads are needed to help find a missing man.

The Timmins Police Service says 45-year-old Christopher Rivers from Porcupine was reported missing in August of last year. (Click here for a related story)

Communications Coordinator Marc Depatie says officers have used extensive amounts of resources over the year to find Rivers, but they need more to go on. “There were searches undertaken by various agencies that yielded nothing of any use.” He adds that “nevertheless at this point, we are hopeful to have whoever might be aware of something useful to have them provide that information to our investigators.”

TPS says the Criminal Investigations Division is looking for your help with any viable information, no matter how trivial, that could be useful. “It could be a recent sighting, perhaps some activity on Facebook, anything that they feel might be linked to this event.”

If you have any information you are asked to call police at 705-264-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
