The NDP Critic for FedNor is slamming the federal government over unspent funds. John Rafferty says the Conservatives allowed almost 11 million dollars of approved funds to go unused in the North over the past four years. Rafferty says this is affecting the forestry and mining industries, and those funds should be used for economic development. Rafferty says with more than 40,000 jobs lost in the Ontario forestry sector since the Conservatives came to power, and the Ring of Fire stuck in the starting blocks, we need this funding now more than ever.
