Chamber Hosts Community Round Table

You are being encouraged to talk about what you see in Timmins’ future.

The Timmins Chamber of Commerce is hosting a round table discussion where you will be able to tell them what you want to see as priorities for the next council and into the future. Incoming Board President Nancy Mageau says the information gathered will then be given to all the candidates running for council and mayor. The chamber says it’s important for candidates to know what the residents want to see happen whether it’s being more transparent or adding more recreational hubs.

The event will take place from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on September 6th at the Schumacher Lions Club.

Incoming President Mageau says all the candidates have been invited so their may be an opportunity to meet the people looking to become local leaders. She says if you can’t make it, there is also a survey on the chamber website where you can leave your thoughts.
