Splash Pads in South Porcupine are being Temporarily Turned Off

Parts of White Water Park in South Porcupine will be temporarily closed starting today.

The City of Timmins says the splash pad and the walkway to the parks gazebo will be blocked off so crews can remove some unwanted plant growth. The city says crews will be putting an organic, vinegar-based spray on the plants between the paving stones on the splash pad and the walkway. Crews say the spray makes the surface very slippery which is a major falling hazard.

summThe city will be putting a barricade around the area and power to the splash pad will be turned off until Friday afternoon.
