A Timmins man is facing assault charges.
The Timmins Police Service says officers were called to an apartment building on Cedar Street North on Monday evening. TPS says police found a person who had been assaulted with an edged weapon. The victim was taken to the hospital with some injuries.
Police say they found and arrested a suspect on Tuesday. A 35-year-old man is facing five charges including:
- assault with a weapon
- possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- uttering threats
- mischief under $5,000
- being unlawfully in a dwelling house
He is in custody awaiting a bail hearing on Thursday.
