Timmins crews are working on a putting out a forest fire just outside of the city.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says there is currently a 56 hectare fire burning about 25 kilometres northwest of the city, past Kamiskotia Lake. Fire Information Officer Shayne McCool says the fire in currently out of control.
McCool says the fire is in a secluded area, so it’s not an immediate concern for the city. He says it could take some time to control and put out the fire.
