Your commute between Timmins and South Porcupine could be a little bit longer.
The City of Timmins says Highway 101 between Bruce Avenue and Legion Drive is now reduced to one lane in each direction and 50 kilometres an hour. The city says this is so crews can work on the highway reconstruction project which includes new asphalt, street lighting and culvert replacement.
Crews are asking that you slow down and pay attention in that area as it is now a construction zone. The work is expected to run from now until October.
