The new provincial government is being welcomed by the Timmins Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber says it is congratulating new Timmins MPP Gilles Bisson and Premier Doug Ford on winning the provincial election on Thursday. PC Ford won with a majority government and the NDP became the official opposition.
Manager of Policy Nick Stewart says this outcome does not change the way that the chamber will fight for its members.
Stewart says with a change from a Liberal to a PC government, the chamber network may have to use a different strategy when bringing policies forward.Â
He says the chamber will continue to bring issues from Timmins members to the province. Stewart says he and the chamber look forward to working with this upcoming government.
