Primero lost $106 million in the third quarter. However the figure includes $99 million the company spent for an acquisition. Meanwhile, Black Fox continues to show promise. The mine increased production by 30 percent over last year. And it’s also costing Primero less to produce gold at Black Fox. Production costs at the site are now down about one third to $688 an ounce from $998. Black Fox produced nearly 22,300 ounces of gold.
