A new Timmins program is aiming to provide outreach information to all.
The Downtown Timmins BIA is starting a Summer Outreach Program which is little cards that have homelessness information on it. Executive Director Noella Rinaldo says it’s important for everyone to know what emergency services are available for those who may need it.
Rinaldo says this eventually won’t be a summer program. She says the Social Planning Council is looking at making a bigger version of these cards with more than just the basic information on it.
She say until the fold outs are ready the BIA will be continuously updating the Summer Outreach cards. She say this information is good for anyone to know whether they need the services are want to volunteer.
Rinaldo says all BIA businesses have copies of the cards, but more can be picked up at the BIA office.
