Fire Department Receives Animal Smoke Mask Donation

The Timmins Fire Department will now be able to help pets involved in house fires.

Representatives from the Hard Rock Animal Hospital are donating six oxygen masks to the different department in town to help animals who may have smoke inhalation. Debbie St. Louis with the animal hospital says this is to ensure that all loved ones, including the fury ones, stay safe in a fire.

St. Louis says donation includes two masks per small animal and large animal sets. She says with these devices on the emergency scenes, hopefully let pets will pass away after a fire.

Chief Normand Beauchamp says this is a great donation that will be a great deal of help in emergency situations.
