MNR reminding drivers to take extra caution

The MNR is reminding drivers to be extra careful this time of year. Moose, elk, and deer are active in the fall, especially at dawn and dusk, and the risk of hitting one is high. Deer and elk travel in groups, so if you see one on the road keep an eye out as there could be more. If you see any animals on the side of the road, slow down, flash your high beams, and honk the horn. Take extra care where roads cross rivers, in wooded areas, and where signs are posted.
