Aleisha Block, a 26 year old Kirkland Lake resident, has pled guilty to manslaughter. Block had originally been charged with second degree murder in connection to the stabbing of her boyfriend Christopher Deighton in 2012. Prosecution allowed the lesser charge if she would plead guilty. Block and Deighton were living in Timmins on Birch at the time of the incident. Sentencing will be in December.
