Provincial PC Leadership Candidate Puts a Focus on Northern Ontario

Northern Ontario is a priority for one of the candidates in the Ontario Progressive Conservative leadership race.

Candidate and Toronto MPP Christine Elliot made two stops in the northeastern region on Friday, including Timmins. Elliot says part of her leadership campaign is to involve the northeastern region in more discussions.

Elliot says if she is elected, she wants to put a big focus on the Ring of Fire project.

The provincial party leadership race is underway after former leader Patrick Brown stepped down after sexual misconduct allegations.

There will be a leadership debate with all candidates on February 15th, with the voting period taking place from March 2nd to 8th.
