Roland Michener Intermediate School is set to host the District School Board Ontario North East Cross Country Challenge.
The event will take place on the grounds and running trails of Northern College on Friday, October 17.
“Elementary schools from all three of our regions will be attending,” says organizer John Bohdanec. “We usually have in excess of 500 runners participating. The divisions include Grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 (boys and girls divisions).”

“We are anticipating rain in the forecast,” adds Bohdanec. “Schools have been instructed to ensure all runners are dressed appropriately.”
With their registration fee, students receive a participation ribbon and lunch.
There will be prizes for top finishers in each race.
