All the children in Schumacher now have a little something for Christmas.
Almost 200 kids from the community gathered at the McIntyre Community Building to receive presents from Mr. Schumacher himself through the F.W. Schumacher Gift Fund. 11-year-old Dakota L’Heureux says it’s great to see everyone get a gift this holiday season.
7-year-old Taylor says this tradition always makes her happy.
This is the 102nd year kids in the community got presents through the fund.
The Schumacher Volunteer Fire Department says before he died 60 years ago, Mr. Schumacher created a trust fund to ensure every child going forward would be able to open something during the holidays.
