News Black River-Matheson lockout is over SHARE ON: Taylor Ablett, staff Monday, Oct. 6th, 2014 The lockout in Black River-Matheson is officially over. Some employees were back at work on Friday while the rest will start again today. The township ratified the deal with the Union, which 15 workers were a part of. Both the union and the mayor expressed their happiness that a deal has been reached, which should be good for the next two years. Negotiations lasted two months, with the workers being locked out since August.
