Police Remind you of Winter Driving Safety Tips

As the snow starts to cover the roads, police are reminding you that winter driving is different than summer driving.

The Timmins Police Service says it takes a little while for drivers to re-adjust to driving in the snow. Communications Coordinator Kate Cantin says you need to remember to slow down and take your time.

Cantin says you also need to remove all the snow from your car before driving.

She says it’s also a good idea to keep a snow brush, scraper, jumper cables, flashlight and emergency kit in your vehicle just in case.
