The Native Women’s Association of Canada is holding a Virtual Candlelight Vigil this weekend. Every October 4th, the association honours the lives of missing and murdered Aboriginal women. The Timmins Native Friendship Centre will be having a vigil and social on Saturday afternoon. There is also a vigil in Cochrane at the Ininew Friendship Centre. They will also be having a sacred fire lighting, a Strong Women Walk.
