Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Week has begun at Northern College. There are events happening at all campuses, including a pow-wow style social at the Timmins campus on Friday. The week is to celebrate the culture that is part of the school. “We have a deep appreciation of Aboriginal perspectives and are a better institution for it,” says Mike Baker, Vice President of Aboriginal Services at Northern College.
