CROSH Travels Northern Ontario to Research Health and Safety Workplace Issues

Canada’s first mobile workplace health and safety laboratory is travelling across Northern Ontario.

The Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health at Laurentian University is touring the region in its mobile lab to gather information on the areas health and safety concerns. The M-CROSH stopped in Timmins yesterday on their 12 city tour to talk to workers about their concerns and CROSH research. Research Development Manager Caleb Leduc says their staff looks to prevent health and safety concerns through research.

Leduc says this is part of CROSH’s field-to lab-to field strategy.

He says researchers will bring different tools in the M-CROSH to test and improve the workplace environment. The data collected will help shape a five-year strategic plan for the centre.
