You are being reminded that door-to-door businesses are not affiliated with the City of Timmins.
City staff have recently received complaints about sales agents claiming they are with the city saying there are issues with a homes water tank system. Mayor Steve Black says any government or city staff going door-to-door would have legal and business identification on hand.
Black says the city would send out a notice to residents if a staff member was visiting a neighbourhood.
He adds if these salespeople are getting overly forceful, you should report it to the police.
