Only one filed nomination papers in Kapuskasing for the position of mayor in this falls municipal election. Alan Spacek, the current mayor, was the only candidate and will be re-elected as mayor. In Timmins however, there are three running for the cities top spot: Steve Black, Todd Lever, and Allan Manchester.
