First Degree Murder Trial

The First Degree murder trial of 30 year Byron Spence is beginning this week. Spence is in a Timmins court this week to answer to the charges after he allegedly shot his brother, Jason Trapper, in 2009. He plead not guilty to the South Porcupine shooting. Spence says he was not aiming at his brother, and instead was going for a computer monitor or stereo in the room where Trapper was sitting. Before calling the police, Spence went to his aunt and uncles house a few streets over, where they called 911. He is being tried before a jury, which will continue on Monday.
