More Economic Growth Expected in Timmins

The Timmins economy is expected to grow according to the Conference Board of Canada.

The board analyzes economic trends and says Timmins is one of a few mid-sized cities that had their local economic performance and gross domestic product examined. Timmins Chamber of Commerce Manager of Policy Nick Stewart says the city’s real GDP increase of 1.3 per cent in 2016 and an expected growth of 1.5 per cent this year is positive.

Stewart says these numbers could encourage local businesses to grow and expand.
