Some explosives found on Pine Street South have been safely disposed of.
The Timmins Police Service says on Monday at about 6:30pm officers received a call of explosives found about five kilometres down the road. Police found two stick of dynamite and a blasting cap.
TPS says police kept the area secure until the OPP Explosives Disposal Unit arrived Tuesday morning. The OPP took the explosives to a remote location where they were safely detonated.
Police are reminding you that if you come across any dangerous items, to call police right away.
