Timmins residents got the chance to hear a news series of children’s books written by a local author.
Paul Toffanello, who wrote the Popchuck Chronicles, read a sample of his new picture book series to residents at the C.M. Shields Centennial Library.
Toffanello says these stories take place in a spooky town called Blackburn Hamlet with elements of Timmins sprinkled in.
Toffanello says the creativity of the books teaches kids to use their imagination.
He says the stories are written and hopes they will be available for purchase by late fall.
