There are mixed feelings about the 2017 provincial budget at the Timmins Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber says it’s happy to see the province increase funding into the post secondary education and the Connecting Link program. Manager of Policy and Research Nick Stewart says the chamber is disappointed that there isn’t more being done about the provinces hydro rate issue.

Stewart says there also should have had more clarity on the Cap and Trade program.

The chamber says these are issues they will continue to fight.
