The softwood lumber dispute between Canada and the United States continues to be a hot topic with the provincial government.
Timmins-James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson says the provincial Liberals want to push the federal government to come up with the ultimate solution. Bisson says if we push this to Ottawa, the province will get the short end of the stick.
Bisson says B.C. subsidizes its forestry industry, where Ontario doesn’t. He says the province needs to come up with its own solution.
