FONOM President is Pleased with the Province’s Plan to Create More Jobs in the North

A $25-million investment will be made to create more jobs in Northern Ontario.

The federal government announced that their investment will be made over the next five years through FedNor. Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities President Alan Spacek says receiving funding for economic development in Northern Ontario is always good news for job creation.

Spacek says FedNor has been a very active partner in economic development initiatives, and this will only help them to continue that. He says the federal government has announced a strategy to broaden future economic development projects in Northern Ontario.
