District School Board Ontario North East is Adding Coding to the Classroom

Coding and technology is becoming a huge focus in the District School Ontario North East curriculum.

The school board has been adding small robots and coding classes into schools at all levels to teach students how to problem solve with hands on activities. System Principal of Innovation Chad Mowbray says a recent study has show by 2035, about 45 per cent of the current jobs won’t exist.

Mowbray says students are using coding and robotics in academic courses like math.

He says the school board recently purchased a few drones to help with math and geography classes.
