News Timmins Students Compete in Robotic Competition SHARE ON: Mackenzie Read, contributor, Tuesday, Apr. 18th, 2017 Students from Timmins High and Vocational School have shown their robotics skills at this year’s First Robotics Competition. Team 4704 Northern Lights Robotics, made of 20 students, built a robot in six weeks to compete at two Steamworks Competitions. The students were able to place in the semifinals in North Bay. Principal Greg Vincze says this was a great learning experience for the students and staff at the school. Vincze says this has inspired the school to add a robotics course to next year’s school calendar. Click here for a video on how the competition works.
