As the weather warms up, you are being asked to pay extra attention when driving.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says more animals, like bears and moose, will be travelling from their winter to their summer habitats. Regional Specialist Heather Pridham says you need be extra careful at dawn and dusk.

Pridham says at night, animals can get disoriented by your vehicle’s headlights.

She says to never swerve for an animal because you can lose control of your vehicle and cause a more serious collision.
