The future of mining in Timmins and Ontario is looking bright.
According to Ontario Mining President Chis Hodgson, gold mining in the province is spiking. Hodgson says the one thing that is setting them back is the high energy prices on the industry’s carbon free energy.
Timmins Chamber of Commerce President Christine Bender says this is an issue that provincial and local businesses are having trouble with. Bender says the chamber will continue to bring this issue to the government.
