Timmins Chamber of Commerce Believes More Needs to be Done to Help Businesses Adapt to Cap and Trade

A letter urging the province to help businesses adapt to the cap and trade system has been sent to Premier Kathleen Wynne.

The Timmins Chamber of Commerce believes the cap and trade system could hurt some of the local businesses. Chamber President Christine Bender says they want the province to put the cap and trade revenues towards offsetting the costs of doing business in Ontario.

Bender says the letter identifies a few priorities the province should have. It includes the innovation funding and creating an environment where businesses can look at how they can reduce their emissions.
