The Stars and Thunder campground proposal at Northern College has been withdrawn.
After the public was very vocal about their concerns, Northern College withdrew itsĀ application to hold a temporary campground on the campus west parking lot. Mayor Steve Black says the festival committee is looking at other options within the city.
Black says the committee is confident that there will be more partners, just by those who have expressed some interest, that will be able to supply future bookings as the festival gets closer.
Councillor Rick Dubeau says this is a great example of democracy in action.
