World Water Day is bringing awareness to the issues of clean drinking water in Ontario.
Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day released a statement in regards to world water day, and says that the concerns he has with the provincial government stem back months.
Day says this is an opportunity to talk about the issues surrounding water within the province. He says it’s an opportunity to alert people to what their fresh water is being used for and by whom.
Day says the lack of information available to people across the province is very worrisome, and a big reason for his statement is speaking out against the use of fresh water in Ontario.
This year is the 24th annual celebration of World Water Day.
