Council Reviews Aquatic Centre Concept Designs

Concept designs for the new aquatic centre have been presented to Timmins City Council.

Council looked at four different options ranging from basic designs to the fully loaded designs. Mayor Steve Black says the cost of the different designs ranges from about $35-million to almost $54-million. Black says council has a big decision to make.

Black adds that if council decides to not follow through with the centre this year, the cost is likely to go up about three per cent every year they wait. He says council will likely bring this back next week with the direction they would like to go.
