The inaugural Mosquito Try-Athlon was run on Saturday in Timmins. The Demers team won the event with a time of 53 minutes and 31 seconds. The event required participants to swim 400 metres around Slab Lake, bike 11 km, and run for 5 km. The winning team tackled the event in a group of three, with Richard biking, Samantha swimming, and Jessica running. The event was in support of Special Olympic athletes.
