All areas of Timmins are now under a watering ban. Sprinklers, car washes, and the filling of swimming pools are off limits until further notice. There needs to be enough water available for the city to use, and for the fire department in case there is an emergency. If you have new sod that needs to be watered you are able to get an exemption from the city’s engineering department. Mount Joy, Schumacher, McDonald Lake, Porcupine and South Porcupine are all included in the ban.
