News MNR asking anglers to avoid buoys and nets SHARE ON: Matt Sitler, contributor, Wednesday, Jun. 25th, 2014 The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources is asking boaters and anglers to avoid their marked buoys and nets in lakes this summer. The MNR will monitor a bunch of lakes in the Timmins area, and across Ontario. They want to observe fish populations, take water samples, and check for invasive species. A total of 143 lakes are being looked at, including Ivanhoe Lake and Muskasenda Lake.
