News Community Members Give the Hydro Rate Cuts a Thumbs Up SHARE ON: Mackenzie Read, contributor, Friday, Mar. 3rd, 2017 Many community partners are happy to see upcoming hydro rate cuts. Premier Kathleen Wynne has announced an additional 17 per cent energy rate cut on top of the eight per cent HST rebate that began on January 1st. The Timmins BIA is also excited to see some upcoming savings. Timmins Chamber of Commerce Manager of Policy Nick Stewart says this is something the chamber has been fighting for.
