South Porcupine will be the home of a Winter Carnival this weekend.
The carnival includes a parade, games and an ice sculpture competition. Carnival Director Joanne Haggerperripp says the carnival aims to liven up the winter and get people out in the community.
Haggerperrip says the carnival is also a great way to bring people from other communities to Timmins and see what it has to offer.
The Carnival will run from Friday to Sunday.
