Local Lawyer has Law License Suspended

Local lawyer Todd Lever is no longer allowed to practice law. According to his Facebook page, Lever’s license has been suspended on an interim basis by the Law Society of Upper Canada in advance of a hearing scheduled for February 9th in Toronto.

The Law Society suspended his license on the basis of reasonable grounds for believing that there is a significant risk of harm to members of the public or public interest in the administration of justice. This stems from a few public incidents, including a disturbance at a Timmins Rock game during the Rogers Hometown Hockey weekend.

Lever has been a general practice lawyer in Timmins since 2004.
