News Community Meeting Called in Shumacher SHARE ON: Mackenzie Read, contributor, Monday, Jan. 30th, 2017 The future of Schumacher will come into question at a community meeting called by the Schumacher Arts, Culture and Heritage Association. SACHA believes Schumacher has reached a crisis point after loosing many community assets like businesses, parks and schools over the past 45 years. Secretary Lloyd Salomone says now the Shumacher Public School has been put on a list of schools being considered for closure. Salomone says if you close the school, there’s not much left in the community. He asks how do you revitalize the community without assets attracting people to the community? The meeting will be held at Croation Hall from 1:30 to 4:30 on February 4th.
